Happy Holiday weekend,
For those of you who are getting away for the last time this summer...ENJOY your time....If you don't have any plans you could always head down to the state fair and enjoy some DEEP FRIED TWINKIES. (yummmmm)
I am always disappointed to see the end of summer come...but still I know that this new season is full of great opportunities because of the consistency of our God. There are a number of places in scripture that talk about God being the maker of the seasons. The passage below speaks about God's providential work in nature as well as His providential work in the lives of people. As we move into another season, we can rest assured that OUR GOD IS ALREADY WORKING to prepare us for the things yet ahead. Be encouraged in the stability of our God in the midst of the changes.
19 He made the moon to mark the seasons;
the sun knows its time for setting.
20 You make darkness, and it is night,
when all the beasts of the forest creep about.
21 The young lions roar for their prey,
seeking their food from God.
22 When the sun rises, they steal away
and lie down in their dens.
23 Man goes out to his work
and to his labor until the evening.
24 O Lord, how manifold are your works!
In wisdom have you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
ESV Ps 104:19-24
I am particularly excited about the opportunities before us this fall. I hope each of you will take advantage of the opportunities in our church family and the community to serve and allow God to shine through you.
With you

MINISTRY EXPANDING - Wow....the purchase of the Old Naz building is moving ahead. We still are asking you to consider how God would want you to participate in this opportunity. The Pregnancy Resource Center is excited about the opportunity to work with us to continue their ministry in Estacada. The NA group has huge ideas to expand their ministry. The Hispanic church is anxious to get started in a new home....our youth group will have some room to grow . Your financial giving toward this project is nothing less that an investment in the lives of thousands of people who will walk through the doors of that building and be significantly impacted. Make the investment and watch God bring the fruit."When I look back now over my life and call to mind what I might have had simply for taking and did not take, my heart is like to break." ~William Hale White
